It is a valid question. At some point, there is less and less room for expansion and innovation within a certain technology. Take for instance the transition from train to Automobile and Airplane. Only by changing the entire mode of transport, did someone open entire new territories for innovation and development.
Steve Case (founder of AOL) has a go at predicting a “second” internet revolution. He makes the case that we are still in the internet infancy. He claims that old industries are still using the internet instead of industries emerging within the internet itself. He predicts transformation of entire industries from health care to education.
