Within 60 days of building of sharing links to content in Twitter and Facebook, Google showed a 9-fold increase in the number of pages crawled each day. For over a year the crawl rate was very stable near the average of 30 pages per day. With a schedule of adding 2-3 pages per day of unique content to this website, the crawl rate shot up quickly to a rate that suggests that parts of the website are being crawled multiple times a day. It is no surprise that search ranking positions changed during that period as well with several competitive search terms moved up several positions on page one.
